Care home

Faced with the risks of vacancy, a care home in Hampshire was transformed into a secure, lived-in space through VPS Guardianship. Within just 10 days, 20 vetted Guardians were placed on-site, protecting the property while providing affordable housing for local workers. This quick, compliant, and cost-effective solution showcases how Guardianship delivers both security and social value.

The Mornington Centre

Faced with rising risks at a decommissioned school site, Lewisham Council partnered with VPS Guardians to secure the Mornington Centre, saving over £5,000 per week in security costs. Through live-in Guardianship, the property stayed safe, compliant, and ready for future use, while offering affordable housing to local residents

Metropolitan Police Station

The VPS Property Solutions team recommended using their Guardians Service for the property, providing 10 guardians to occupy the premises. VPS also undertook the task of clearing, cleaning and adapting the police station to ensure it was habitable and compliant with Health and Safety requirements.

Primary School

When the Mornington Centre, a former primary school, closed its doors, it quickly became a target for squatters and vandalism. With squatting a known issue in the area, the Local Authority in the London Borough of Lewisham needed a proactive, cost-effective solution to protect the site.

The Winchester

When Heineken approached us with the question, what can we do to secure our property in a socially responsible way? we offered them our guardian services. This way the property is secured and maintained for the period it is vacant, and with the short termination period the pub can be opened at short notice again.

Leonard Street Market

We were approached by Aitch Group, the owner of this Grade II listed church, to offer a solution to reduce their security risk and create extra revenue to help pay towards the site’s upkeep. Before Aitch Group bought the property the church site was used as a reclamation yard and show site for the buying and selling of interesting antiques, statues, old fire places etc.
